X try the Bombay Brasserie for a good Indian food experience. It is across from the Gloucester Road tube station. Try the House Thali and sit in the garden area under the glass roof if you can. Forget what they call it, memory cells are dying. And go to Farm Street Church in Mayfair on Sunday morning even if you are not Catholic (oldest Jesuit Church in England), have a drink afterward at the pub next door and sit in the park behind the church for me....I loved the place. Take a drive thru Richmond Park and go to the top of Richmond Hill and gaze out at the Thames. Hopefully the sun will be shining (better known in the UK as a period of brightness). Also, just in passing, I had the opportunity this May to drive the Dalmatian Coast from Split to Dubrovnik. I know Europe reasonably well and I will say that this is a must see part of Europe, particulary now when it is still reasonably priced and still not inundated. I cannot say enough positive about Dubrovnik and the slow, beautiful, winding drive to get there. I did not have the opportunity to get to any of the islands off the coast but hope to someday very soon.
