To me your facts are only interpretation and opinion. I find it amazing that you believe they actually have anything to do with reality. I have seen this in a number of fearful people who think they have found the bogey man. You interpret to fit the mold.

The fact that some of the stories behind Kerrys words turned out to not be true does not mean he knew they weren't true at the time nor does it follow that because some were they can all be discounted.

As far as the "Thousands comitted atrocities" line, it depends on what you call attrocities. This is the part of the paragraph that you didn't highlight, but to me is the most important,

"in that I took part in shootings in free-fire zones. I conducted harassment and interdiction fire. I used .50 caliber machine guns, which we were granted and ordered to use, which were our only weapon against the people," Kerry said. "I took part in search and destroy missions, in the burning of villages" Thses are the common attrocities that he is refering to when he says "thousands of soldiers". He is not claiming that thousands committed rape. He is attacking the way the generals chose to fight the war.

I still hope you catch a big ass bass.
