WM:

We put small pond in corner of our back yard Spring of '03.

Started with 2 koi and about 8 goldfish. The koi didn't make it through the Mid-Atlantic winter, but the gold fish did.
My brother has 3 separate ponds with over 50 koi, and they keep multiplying, so got 4 additional this past Spring. Gold fish count is over 30 now!
Algae was real bad during summer, even though it was never really hot. Water is crystal clear now.

I have a couple of water lily plants and some others that just float on the surface, all complimentary from my brother. Frogs come and go. Have had as many as 3, cat next door ate 2, I think. We had a turtle briefly, but he/she moved on..........

I have 5 children, 10 and under, they love to feed the fish.

My nephew, (my brother's son), put the pond in for me, has an upper level, small, that drops its water down the rocks to the lower pond.

I pull the filter/pump out once every 1-2 weeks now to clean. During the winter, I will unplug if it's really frozen over.

Regards.
