That was one heck of a long time ago, heck I was still in school, but I was in favor of Israel taking out Iraq's nuke plant.

Flash forward 20 some years, and I don't see any preemtive war on the globe. Our invasion and occupation is simply part of the plan laid out by the neocons in their Doctrine for a New American Century. Is it any wonder that Bush says he'd do nothing differently knowing what he now knows? They "re-interpreted" (nice euphemism) the intelligence in order to garner support for the war, not because they believed any of it. I'd argue that nothing has changed from their point of view, hence their own reasons for the invasion (never publicly disclosed) are intact.

Time has a way of showing the consequences. One cost little mentioned was the treason that outed Valerie Plame. Perhaps some nuke will go off somewhere because of that.
