I could go for that, except it would give the lefties all the good timber land and they don't have a clue about its highest value to the totality of the earth's ecosystems. In other words, if we grow timber where it REALLY grows, then the rest of the world can have MORE wilderness and everybody still gets to build a house. Their way, they take the best timber land on earth and make it so expensive that it's just easier to go get tropical hardwoods in some third world country with little or no forestry expertise.

There is some merit to the thought of combining Washington and Oregon, then splitting them into two states using the Cascades as the border (I'd actually prefer using I-5 <ggg>).
