I want to apologize to Peter and all for my emotional posts today..I should have let it go sooner rather than 5 posts later ..Michael Young asked "why the sour attitude?"..I've been struggling with the knowledge that Marc's colleague with the brain tumor has been getting imo, sub-top notch care in a top notch institution..based on my experience and research this young 27yo. with a brain tumor should have been getting more aggressive treatment..but after speaking(not ranting) to her care takers, it became obvious to me that people were afraid of stepping on the turf of colleagues, staff in high positions possessive of their treatment protocols and unwilling to work with other institutions' protocols... The result: I received confirmation this afternoon that indeed her tumor has grown..nothing of my experience, purely scientific discussions, physicians from different cancer groups offering them alternatives, could convince her doc's to look/practice outside the box..they know that I know what has been going on..the patient does not..and in order to not jeopardize her trust of them,I must be silent..no "I told you so" retorts..this young woman may or may not be here for Christmas..she was diagnosed 5 months ago.. Yet..again, I apologize to the thread..this is a place for investors and we share off topic discussion of the broader issues that come up..but it's not a place to leak frustrations from our personal life..
