You know I have never said that smoking is good for me or for anyone else. Rather, my thinking is that it is not the root of all medical maladies. If you or anyone else is bothered by smoke, I refrain from smoking in their presence. I even ask in socially accepted smoking environments (casinos, bars, etc.) if another or others around me would mind if I light up, and act accordingly. You know this!
As SI no longer places favorite links in our profile pages, I'll place this one here and won't even ask you to put it in the thread header lcolby.com (as if you would <g>).
Most times, smoke does not bother me esthetically. That said, I am bothered if the smoke is too thick or too dense, such as can be experienced in a poorly ventilated room or forest fire.
Would that other homo sapiens would behave with my (and many, MANY others') polite restraint WRT my extremely negative reactions to noise pollution, particularly "popular music," played loudly and heavily laden with instruments of rapid, repetitive percussion. - Holly |
