Jessica Mathews was just on Charlie Rose ... ..... She's head of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. The situation in Iraq is horrible. It's possible Bush has created a catastrophe--a history altering blunder. This distortion of reality that Krugman talks about really makes you wonder about the predictions of Orwell. I know I seem to talk in hyperbole at times. But I really think the time may come, especially if Bush is reelected, but possibly regardless so, to look for safe and sensible places to live and establish a separate reality. /john
