"Heritage, not hate". Yes- & my neighbors in SC have made me a 'honorary reb' I guess that means something like a yankee redneck. They keep putting a reb flag in my yard when I'm gone. They think it is great since where I live permits nothing -- not even 'for sale' signs on the property. The assn no longer sends the $30 fine, I certainly paid enough of them-- they just collect the little flags. They tease and say they are going to put a flag in the rear window of my pickup. Still, if they ever got into the truck I suspect it would be the Confederate flag, not the US. They are split about 50- 50 in their trucks. Its part of US history & not meant as anything else. They are also trying to teach me to talk like they do-- but sometimes I do not understand them & tell them I'd hate to not understand myself once in awhile..
