ALL morals are self serving: they serve the values which the individual has internalised as best meeting his/her view of reality, and as best meeting his/her goals of safety, happiness, and a life well lived.

You continue to be superstitious and irrational; which is a pity as you will never be able to act as an independent being--full of the glory of your life and owning the full responsibility of your feelings and your deeds. You will continue to be a sheep mouthing the words of the ignorant and the superstitious, and appeasing the anger of your subservience and ignobility through snide but witless remarks of thinly veiled pique and rancor.

And deep down inside you will know it as you bend your head to the grass...
