John, I'm not a doctor, but I do have very close knowledge of prominent, very well-respected, board certified orthopaedists who publish research and help design hip prostheses when they are not in the operating room, and I can tell you that hip replacement surgeries are very complex, and take at least an hour. If the surgeon himself is making the initial cut, you can add fifteen minutes at the beginning. If any surgeon is saying something different here, I would be very curious as to whether he is board certified, what research in medical journals he has published regarding his very much decreased operating time (I would think it would be quite noteworthy), how many hip replacements he actually does every week, and what is his success rate. I would be curious as to where he went to medical school, and what kind of protheses he uses for these, as well. You know, no matter where you are, some of what you have to consider is science. I, too, wish some doctors would come on over here and comment.
