>>> She has 3 sons and they could have been a part of this story. <<<

Then why in the hell did she allow them to join the miltary?

I have a son that is on active duty and it's possible something could happen to him too. What you won't hear me whining about is that it was the presidents fault. Those are the risks involved in that job.

This is an all volunteer military, nobody makes you sign up. When you sign up, you know your job is to go to war if the Commander in Chief says you go to war. Unfortunately, people die in war. It isn't a pillow fight.

If you join the military, you take your chances. Personally, I think young people are safer in a war zone than on our highways and in some of our neighborhoods. More people died on our highways during the Viet Nam war years than died in combat.

BTW, I have a daughter that I'm trying to convince she join the military. She's only 12 but I have plenty of time to work on her. I think military service should be mandatory.

Additionally, how do you define tolerant? You are free to express your views here and I'm free to strongly contest them. Nobody has banned you or Ed from this site.

For the record, I wouldn't vote for a Democratic president if you put a gun to my head, but that's just me. I'd vote for Ghenghis Khan or Mickey Mouse if they ran as a Republican as opposed to voting for a democrat.
