Dot.com lay offs (heck, if you could breathe you got a high paying job). Housing market kicked in full force. We went from a revenue generator for the governmnet to a non revenue generator(R.E). Despite AG lowering rates, only R.E. benefited...no revenue for the government there. And then Bush cut revenues and started a war. We know the drill jimbo. Its the economy, stupid!
