No President creates jobs

BUSH: We found out today that over the past 13 months, we've added 1.9 million new jobs in the last 13 months.

Seems to be at best, misleading.

We use the tax code to manage the economy. And in fact, the Government does create jobs. Government jobs are not created by small business or large business, they are created by the Government. Futher, there is a segment in the private sector that exist soley because of government spending. Consultants being one example. The small businesses that are in the Pentagon shopping mall exist solely because of the government. All the private contractors that are on military bases are effectively created by the government. The "Burger King" that is on a military base was effectively created by the government.

Bush hasn't even produced enough jobs to support the illegals coming into the country, let alone the 150,000 Americans that enter the job market every month.
