Terrific article, thank you, E. Was not that neck thrust just too bizarre? I felt like I was cast back and sitting around a bonfire in the holler and the "big-talker" was there. They all strut and pop their heads that way. The guys watch them bemused and pass the bottle with a shake of the head. But this guy is our President? Empty bluster is understandable in the holler. Some people do what they gotta do to make themselves feel good about themselves, but no one buys it, except guys who feel even worse about themselves and glom onto the bluster (like the pundits who drool over Bush's "manliness") but tolerate it because he is "one of us". But you don't elect him President. I don't know what is more sad... that this guy is President, or that all these pundits, and lots of people, are enamored of such behavior as manly.
