Auto-Complete in Firefox

Ken,

<< When I go to type a new address, all the previous addresses show up in a drop down box. How do I put a stop to that? >>

I'm not sure that autocomplete can be turned off in Firefox, although to delete a single autocomplete entry in Firefox:

blog.codefront.net

I'm not sure why you would want to turn it off since its a real time saver, and I'd suggest adjusting to it, and saving yourself some time. When you get far enough in your typing when revisiting a site you can select from the popdown to complete the URL.

It does turn off in IE:

microsoft.com

In Firefox you could shorten (clear) the list by clearing history, but it will rebuild:

(Tools|Options|Privacy|History)

Best,
