my 44 runs on nuclear. ::blink blink?:: ...

there was nothing to say
as the world passed away
it was written
in poet's blood
that the day would come
the fire that burned
and touched the soul
of all
looking to the horizen
eyes filled with grief
they watched what they wrought
in their hatred and anger
all it would take
was the touch of fingers
between neighbor and friend
but their anger
would not allow them to reach
and the fire grew hotter
and the world grew darker
and the brothers
stood across from each other
as the world burned around them
but their anger
kept them from touching in unity
and they watched them
in their anger
and saw their death come
not nobly but in sorrow
as the brothers played their scene
their anger destroying
such beauty
and the garden
turned to ashes before us

heck, day-lilies or irises? can't we have both???
