Freep - let me tell you very briefly what I think. If the threat from the Radical Islamists is overrated, then Kerry would make as good - or as poor - a peace time President as anyone else.

However, if the threat is real, and if we really are in a conflict which will run maybe for decades, and the course and the outcome of which are not entirely certain -- in this case, I want GWB. I think JK thinks of the Islamist threat - which is a full scale old-fashined religious war - as a bunch of criminals. If he is destined to learn that he is wrong, WE are the ones who WILL pay the price for his new knowledge. Such knowledge would visit John Kerry - most likely - in the form of a huge attack against the US.

By then, we will have lost much of the current momentum... inter alia, we would probably be facing a nuclear Iran, etc...
