I keep being asked to update and it is always the same update. It apparently does not register. Also I get error messages VERY frequently which kick me off the Internet.I reinstalled Explorer and that helped for a while but now the problem is back. Do you have any suggestions? I use Windows 98. It has been happening for several weeks. Usually this happens when I am on, or trying to get onto, the Internet. The error messages are "An illegal function has occurred" and An error has been detected,please send an error report to Micro-Soft. I send the message, it says "complete" but then asks again and again. This answers the questions asked on 9/8/2004 by "the cow" and Lamar (Junkyardawg) 8/4/98. jsayers@woh.rr.com
