Yesterday I was hiking with two friends who are strong Christians. The conversation at some point turned to religion and the gal was very ernest in her belief that Christianity was the only "true" religion because they had found the bones of Jesus. They had never found the bones of Buddha because those were all false religions. What could I say? I love them both and they are both bright and articulate people. My friends do not know I am Solon so I could only say that God would only inspire good ideas and acts so there was much to keep from many books and much to throw away...
