all you have to do is turn to genesis chapters five and eleven and add up the ages from adam to abraham. it was 2,000 years from adam to abraham. it was 2,000 more years from abraham to Christ. it's been 2,000 years since Christ

thanks for posting that. I thought about that myself. But if Adam lived 960 years does that mean he lived almost half of the first 2,000 years until Abraham?

And concerning the scientists. They fool themselves because they don't know what God has done. First God created the universe from nothing but His spoken word. Then appeared the entire mass of the universe in one pinpoint of space. Then the big bang and the expansion of the universe. But the scientists get confused by their finite understanding of space and time. For example, they see the universe expanding at a certain rate today and can calculate how long it must have taken to expand from the big bang to this point today at the rate of expansion they now observe. But!! Suppose the rate of expansion was never constant. Suppose God expanded the universe at an infinite speed? It's his universe. The age of the universe could be 6000 years and 7 days. The calculated history of man plus the seven days of creation. Suppose the big bang and expansion took only one second and then God slowed the expansion to the present rate we see today! He can do that if he wants. After all, He only needed to get the correct distance of this planet from the sun so that we orbited the sun in the correct "life zone" for our bodies. To scientists billions of years of expansion, to God one second. God has said (and we forget) that My ways are not your ways. My thoughts are not your thoughts.

The dinosaurs supposedly existed 65+ million years ago. But the Bible makes mention of the great behemoths of old, as if their existence is in man's past memory. Men had seen dinosaurs and passed the story down. Even early sea farer's wrote of sea creatures that were huge that we don't see today. And that was only in recent history. When fossilized rock was found in Texas with dinosaurs foot prints and a man's footprints following it that was not accepted by scientists. It showed man and dinosaurs existing at the same time. Extinctions of species has been happening since the fall of man until today. Just some thoughts outside of the box.
