The issue is we have not invested in RND like we should.

The other issue is we are a war-promoting country, wasting more than $300B on war.

The issue isn't offshoring, this country has been doing offshoring for years, well before now.

$300B could have been spent on alternative energy RND.

It could have been spent on stem research to yield high-paying jobs and reduced health costs. So what does Bush do? He spends only $20M on stem research. I kid you not.

The last time this country was serious about high wages was back in the 50s, when our country reportedly invested a lot into RND, whose benefits we saw for several decades through the invention of many high-paying industries. This country offshored back then too, but we always had more higher end jobs available - because we always invested in research.

You kill research, you kill high end jobs. Simple as that.

Bush is not particularly smart enough to get that, I think.

Lastly, creating such an enormous debt increases the chances of inflation. Bush is the most fiscally irresponsible president we have ever had I believe he may even be worse than Reagan's debt. But back then, people cared about the deficit, for some reason we don't today. (Sarcasm on) So let our currency devalue. What the heck, why not? We all have our collective heads in the sand. (Sarcasm off)
