The Kerry campaign targeted Howard for defeat: JOHN Kerry's campaign has warned Australians that the Howard Government's support for the US in Iraq has made them a bigger target for international terrorists. theaustralian.news.com.au If the Howard government had been defeated, Kerry supporters would be cheering the loss of another American ally. We all know this. So Howard's victory was a clear defeat for the Kerry campaign. Of course, they should never have attempted to overturn an allied government in the first place.
