Ann, I can respect your desire to solve the terrorism problem. We have different opinions on how to solve it and I can respect those differences, but it's independent of the point being made:

This country cannot be so exclusively focused on one thing, to the exclusion of the real killers.

The # 1 killer of women is heart attacks, yet it wasn't UNTIL THIS YEAR the AMA released for the very first time the symptoms for women heart attacks. And this is the year 2004 too. Meanwhile, the male symptoms have been released 30 years ago. Go figure. And here's another good one: it was until just THIS WEEK that researchers for the very FIRST time released information on hot flashes showing blood pressure dropped drastically while heart rate increased rapidly to compensate. Meanwhile, heart illness is the #1 killer for women, YET this is the first year they've released any studies on women for this stuff. Absolutely amazing how neglectful the studies have been to women's #1 killer.

Ann, I think even you would agree this is totally unacceptable.

On a different note, I'm more worried about my Dad dieing from the flu than through terrorism. Even if I disagree with the methodology I respect the desire to tackle terrorism, but we cannot excuse this country's exclusive focus on one thing: terrorism.

We also need to be focused on the other killers - especially the ones that wipe out so many loved ones. This is the point I'm making and I suspect you would agree.

Regards,
Amy J
