You are right. I noticed too that Kerry was not as noticeably arrogant. His color was better too. Perhaps the orange wore off. His pink lipstick and overdone rouge also seemed to be absent. Though I did here that one of his fingernails was a little longer than the rest. The strategy of the party is to scare little old ladies, blacks, and anyone else into thinking that the other party is going to do something awe full. It was odd to see Rangel (D NY) voting against his own bill to reinstate the draft. It was a thinly disguised attempt to create a wedge issue. Democrats could say that there is a draft bill being considered without mentioning that it was sponsored by Democrats. The letter news outlets would go along with the subterfuge.
