According to the debate commission website the first and third debates will be (will have been?) seated at a table with a moderator. That does not jive with my recollection of the first debate.

The CBS moderator y try to be more honest than the PBS one did. The difficulty though is that they are both so liberal that they may both view Lehrer's questions as fair.

There are some interesting problems with Kerry's records. He has listed three different discharge dates. 1971, 1978 and March 2000. As you know, after his request for draft deferment was rejected, he enlisted. That obligated him to a five year duty with one year in the reserves. Dec 1, 1968 plus six years is 1974. That is not a date of discharge Kerry has claimed. One theory is that after the Navy knew he was a traitor they issued him a general discharge (not a good thing).

During 1978 the White House was occupied by Jimmy Carter. What does that have to do with Kerry's discharge? I don't know.

March of 2000 Clinton was at the height of his problems with impeachment. Supplicants on their knees sometimes left with little white stains on their clothes. What did Kerry do for Clinton? Did Clinton agree to pardon him? Why did he need a pardon? Why can't Kerry allow his military record t become public?

The Secret Service would not be well served by blabbing all they know. In (the former White House stationed FBI agent) Gary Aldrich's first book he described her behavior. She was never nice, polite or human to any Secret Service agent.

New York picked her. Giuliani would have crushed her, but he conveniently had problems with cancer.
