Thanks for the link. Like you I seem to remember the candidates not being seated at a table with the moderator. I seem to remember podiums. What I did notice was that Bush did not physically fit where he was sitting-----and this made him looked scrunched which I think he was.

Given the problems already with CBS they may go out of their way to be fair. Let's hope so.

Kerry's various dates are certainly suspect----I don't think Bush will attack this-----someone else has to do so.

Have a copy of Aldrich's book-----I must scan those sections again-----was at a booksigning that he did and heard him speak.

One of the items that Bush touched upon was arresting the terroist in I think it was Western New York State. If the FBI had not been given authority to move on this we would have had another major incident. Bush needs to talk about this more. People want the government out of our business----still they have to have the authority to move in on suspected terroist.

This brings to mind a similar incident at the local level here in the 1980's----a house in the neighborhood was being used by a drug ring to transport hard drugs up and down the East Coast. Because of the laws in the 1980's the police could not enter the house without causes.

They had narcotics officers working the case but were afraid to go in---the break came when there was a party and one of the occupants of the house beat up the woman who was living there during the party in their front yard. That was all the police needed the narc officers were there called in the regular police and the arrests were made immediately. What a fiasco.
