"Benzos are far more addicitive than pain killers"

Anything can become a habit. Try food withdrawal for a couple of weeks. Anyway, I don't challenge your right to preach. It is just that I believe so strongly in personal choice. If somebody wants to live 10 or 20 years on valium...good for them.

Lasy year in Scotsdale my back went into spasms and the nerves were being rubbed. I went to the Mayo and got an injection and was able to feel like a human being...and better than human, even.

Oh surely--you are right: Benzos are addictive. But so is coffee and breathing air. Addiction does not automatically equate to harm. And even when something has risks...it obviously offers rewards.

I think many people preach against drugs which induce a mental feeling of well-being or happiness because they unconsciously resent the artificial production of happiness. But I am somewhat more tolerant than many. If you are an adult and are not mentally challenged, then make your choices and live with them. If ten cups of coffee is your thing every day, then drink up. If you enjoy the relaxed feeling of Clonazepam...it is your brain. Thes are low risk activities that can be rewarding. If you want to teach English in Iraq or Lebanon then you are a bit out of my league...
