chuck, It is most important that people know what is right, and what is wrong. In some cases, certain individuals cannot grasp that concept, and we end up with people like Ted Bundy. How that happens is something I don't pretend to know, but feel that some wires in the brain must either, be shorting out, or are not connected at all.
It is nice for people with common beliefs to get together in fellowship, but there is no human that has the right to dictate what is right or wrong, true or false. If one has doubts about his own thinking, seeking help from one he has witnessed doing the right things, and living a good, and peaceful, life, can be the thing that puts him on the right path.
I would say that there are some people that are, constantly, battling within themselves about right and wrong, good and evil, and do not trust their own conscience to make the decision of which, is which. That puts the mind in turmoil, and blocks a clean avenue to the truth of the matter.
If each of us will delve into the depth of our minds, I believe that most can determine what the right thing is to do, but a few are lost in their confusion.
If we doubt ourselves, we usually doubt all others, but if we can break that barrier, we can find a new life just on the other side of that wall. |
