So you would have been for launching a surprise attack within iraq against zarquawi without any UN consultation or support? Bush would have been crucified for doing this. By getting UN support and building a coalition, albeit smaller than desired, bush had at least some legitimacy in going after iraq and zarquawi. But we would have tipped our hand if we had gone to the UN earlier for permission to attack zarquawi and if we did engage bush would have been pilloried for not having UN support. And has history shows when we use cruise missiles and air power, we usually dont get our man anyway. mike
