Thanks for not answering the questions. I knew you wouldn't.

The intel has been and is being shown to have been picked over for only the ripest cherries. The nuclear "smoking gun" was the pivotal point in Bush's arguement for going to war, quickly, and has been proven to be a distortion of the available facts, not faulty intel.

The facts were available pre 9/11. They had plenty of time to review those facts yet chose to misrepresent the data in order to secure the cooperation of political leaders on both sides of the fence.

Bush rushed to war when he did not have to. He misrepresented the facts in order to get permission.

Put another way, if you buy the faulty intel argument then you are telling me that Bush should be elected even though

- he presided over the largest terrorist attack on American soil in history
- he presided over the largest intelligence failure in American history
- he then went on, learning no lessons from this intelligence failure, and accepted "faulty intel" to justify going to war - so yet another huge intelligence failure to add to the history books

He can blame the CIA failure for 9/11 on his predecessors, but not the CIA failure with respect to Iraq.

Is it credible that the CIA would fail again so spectactularly after the CIA and all intelligence services failed in 9/11? Is it credible that they would produce slipshod work, after 9/11?

No, it is not credible.

Have a good day.
