Drilling permits for the 30 states that we monitor increased 13.2% during September, adjusted for comparable numbers of filing days. This month’s improvement was driven by increases in Wyoming (up an adjusted 50%), Montana (up 186%), and Kentucky (up 58%). Excluding Wyoming, drilling permits rose an adjusted 6% month-to-month.
