Bryan Bender and so many others continue to confuse 'apples and oranges', the invasion of Iraq with the occupation.

"Shock and Awe" is ALWAYS the right method of war; it is merely another name for the "blitzkrieg" tactics of Guderian and von Manstein; it is a description of the RESULT that occurs from doing the unexpected as per SunTzu.

You already know that I agree with you as to the botched occupation of Iraq, but that had nothing to do with "shock and awe."

I have yet to read the full Duelfer Report, but permit me to doubt that the megolomaniac Saddam ever was so subtle as to truly plan for his own return to power by way of guerilla war.
