People who are employed tend to be on the healthy side.

Both employees and retirees are in the same pool. I suppose it's possible that federal retirees are somewhat more healthy than the average older person, but old is still old and everyone gets sick and dies.

And that's apart from administrative costs or political pressures.

Yes, hard to say where that might go.

I don't like the idea. I argued against it with Karen when she pushed it a couple of times. But coming from the Democrats, it's not all that bad, relatively. Depending on how it's implemented.
