This is a red herring. Even if Kerry wants to, he cannot have huge government since the House and possibly even the Senate will be controlled by Republicans.

As the 90's demonstrated, gridlock is good. But we have seen what happens when there is no gridlock. Congress and the WH both belong to the Republicans now, and so we have Dumbya and his gang spending our children's money like drunken sailors.
