My uncle was shot through one side of his face at Normandy. He bore the scar for the remainder of his days & considered himself extremely fortunate. He & his comrades would never have used the "grab 3 medals for superficial wounds & run home" scam that Kerry pulled. The vast majority of WWII and Vietnam vets had too much personal pride to use that loophole while all their comrades served for the complete tour of duty. Kerry's lack of basic integrity was demonstrated when he nagged his commanding officers to complete the medal request paperwork. You make some very profound statements in the paragraph above. Do you have any links that show that the "vast majority" would not use what you call a loophole? And if you think Kerry lacks "basic integrity" for using the alleged "loophole", what must you think of Mr. Bush who dodged the war by going into the Air NG, and even with that, did not complete his service? Oh wait, you're voting for him. Do I smell some hypocrisy? I think I do! ;~) Kerry admitted during an interview with the Boston Globe "none of my injuries caused me to lose more than one day of service." He did? I haven't heard that. Link me to that statement. TIA. How severe could they possibly have been? Well, he still has shrapnel lodged in his arm and leg...how severe is that? And what wounds did Mr. Bush get? Oh wait, he didn't get any wounds.....just a DUI. What kind of conscience allows a person to not feel guilty about accepting medals for scratches that many others received posthumously? Huh? You're stretching here. Why did Kerry re-stage incidents & film them with his own movie camera? Why did he exaggerate his own valor when he wrote after-action reports for the medal incidents? You're being terribly gullible to fall for John Kerry's snake-oil salesman pitch. He simply lacks the required character to be Pres of the USA. Have you seen Mr. Bush's resume? Really, have you bothered to check what little the man has accomplished? Was it the SEC violation, or the gentlemen's Cs at Yale, or the president of DEKE fraternity, known as an orgy house, or his cheerleading stint that convinced you Mr. Bush had character?
