"Every single government in the free world and the not so free world plus all of Saddams Generals and ministers thought he had WMD"

I'm not denying that, I too believed he had them. However, during the leadup to war the Bush administration was spending hundreds of millions of dollars covertly in Iraq to find the WMDs. And came up with zero hard evidence. No amount of searching, Blix or covertly, came up with a shred of evidence that Saddam Hussien had WMDs. The President saw the covert information daily. He saw there was no hard intelligence to support the theory SH had any weapons of mass destruction. His covert intelligence was telling him that Iraq was not the threat to United States that he said it was. Even still he continued the march to war. Now more than 1,000 Americans are dead and the Iraq foray is costing more than $200-billion. For what, too stop a threat that didn't exist.
