I think that it's more often that the children don't know where it got burried, than the bank's got it and the children can't get it.

'specially if nobody knows what grandma or grandpa did with it ..

My Great Grandpa was like that .. He didn't get along with his wife all that well. So he took to filling jars with money and burying them out on the back 40 .. and never let anyone know where ..

After he died no one ever found any of the jars ..
