Are we continuing this discussion? I’ve indicated I have trouble with abortion – it seems wrong. About the death penalty I think it needs a much higher burden of proof given the high numbers of mistakes that have turned up in recent years. There are offences were a death penalty is warranted. I don’t right now have a response to your observations about life sentences. It’s a good point. The prisons are a mess. Overcrowded. Recidivism is rampant. Maybe we shouldn’t put so many priorities in front of prison reform. As for euthanasia I have a living will – I would rather I am allowed to die if my guardians deem there is too little hope of my recovering sufficiently. That’s what I mean by euthanasia.
