Gee, I thought only Republicans attacked the patriotism of others. I just knew those Talking Points Memos couldn't be trusted..... "That's a fine testament to the patriotism of our military men and women, that they would decline to fight America's enemies because they don't respect the president. Let the Islamists win--that'll show 'em." That's a load of hogwash. In fact, you could more fairly say Kerry "would decline to fight America's enemies because" of his longstanding anti-war beliefs; that the only solutions are his overwhelming belief in endless diplomacy & total acquiescence to the UN, where we must first pass a "global test" before force would be authorized,"because" Kerry "doesn't respect" the military or the government in foreign affairs. "Let's" appease "the Islamists"..... "--that'll show 'em." When those people volunteered to serve the country, they had faith in their Commander in Chief (CIC). If they came to believe that their CIC is unfit to lead them, why is that unpatriotic? Kerry has established he is anti-war & anti-military; a man who has publicly denigrated & slandered almost everyone who served in Vietnam with the most vicious lies. How can you blame those who serve from not wishing to be led by a man they have no reason to trust? A man who still refuses to acknowledge the horrific damage he did to the men & women who served honorably or to the POW's who suffered mightily thanks to Kerry's outrageous lies? What about Kerry's other horrific, politically motivated military votes, flip-flops & stated positions he has taken that weakened &/or endangered our troops (or would have had Kerry got his way)? Kerry is a potential CIC who would put our nations security in the hands of a thoroughly corrupt UN as part of his "global test" before he would authorize military action to defend our national security. He is a potential CIC who, due to a changing political climate, might fail to provide adequate funding for our troops after they have been placed in harms way. They have every right to choose to leave the military rather than serve someone they have absolutely no reason to believe or trust will protect & support them or our national security. And you question the patriotism "of our military men and women" under those circumstances?
