There's two possibilities that I can see.

1) It was caused by a timing collision with another message to you that arrived came in 18 milliseconds later.

2) You filed the message, intentionally or otherwise, and then moved it back your inbox.

Please say it was number 2.

That's as far as my quickly failing ability to reason takes me at this hour, so we can take it up again later.
