KC, the Japanese got to Japan from China. So, at one time, long, long ago, it was part of China. <When was Japan a Chinese province ? >
If we want to rewind the clock and recreate what was 50, 100, 1000 and 10,000 years ago, let's really wind it back.
I don't think it's doable, but plenty of people try. Which usually seems to lead to disruption and carnage.
It seems a better idea to go forwards than backwards. Especially since it is impossible to actually rewind clocks, involving untwisting the DNA of millions of people [or billions], bringing the dead back to life, reversing plate tectonics and making Earth spin in reverse.
But Yiwu and such Central Government planners see no problem in doing anything at all as long as it fits with their current ideology. That's why they always end up with piles and piles of dead people when they try to go against the laws of nature. Physics isn't a matter of voting, or political power, [though we constantly hear how "most scientists think the greenhouse effect is a big worry" as though Earth would go flat if enough scientists agreed that it is indeed flat].
