I find it interesting, though, that folks who won't take up arms for what they consider Bush's unnecessary war get heaped with scorn hereabouts. Yet folks who would lay down their arms rather than continue to serve under Kerry even though the enemy is still a threat are supported by the thread. Why is that? Seems to me that each is simply deciding for himself what is worth his personal sacrifice.

Its not that simple. If all the left did was not volunteer to be in the army - no scorn given, but they also denigrate those who choose to serve and their cause...

I suspect that UW is right that in the WOT a lot of GI's will not re-up under Kerry. However, they will not turn around and beat up GI's who do serve or spit on them or denigrate that they choose to serve or question why.

As a result we will get attacked and in an ultimate irony we will get a draft.
