You keep this up, we're going to make you share a padded cell with Ray Duray. You sound like the RW equivalent of that nut.

Whether YOU like it or not, there is such a thing as freedom of speech in this country. And freedom of the press, the right to petition the gov't (often in the form of protests), and a host of other freedoms. That's the way we like it and intend to keep it. If you don't like it, there are still some right wing dictatorships you can move to. This country isn't going to turn into one to please you, so you'd best get used to the way things are done here.

Now sometimes exercising those rights, along with elections, results in mistakes. So be it. It's happened before and will again. If Kerry wins, it did. That's the price we pay. And the Prexy is not the whole gov't. There is NOTHING in the Constitution that requires that the President ask for a declaration of war before one can be passed. Congress can do it all by itself if it wishes and the Prexy is then required to prosecute that war. If he does not, he is subject to impeachment. A mess in the middle of a war, but a Prexy would get the message long before that happened.
