Shooting the Truth Tellers: Bill Gross's Robust Defense

...posted today of his earlier piece was necessary, and important. But what is more telling is how the United States itself and our decisions as a society--on all policy matters--are now a protected Edifice, much like Nasdaq 5000 was. Much like those who questioned the Nasdaq 5000 Edifice, (or failed to keep up with it)--the penalties are shrill and swift. And illogical.

Educated men no longer bother to even employ the most rudimentary logic. To whit: the first salvos shot by "professionals" in Gross's direction after his initial piece did not even deal with the thesis itself. Rather, they digressed into the hazy idea that Gross was a "San Francisco liberal, you know..." (Was this McTeer?).

I had a friend call me the day the Nasdaq cracked. For months he had been calling to day, "can it just go up every fucking day?" He was gleeful and said "here comes the big pain."

Man this country has a big fat check that's about to be presented, at our table.
