Apple also said it shipped 836,000 Macintosh computers, up from 787,000 a year ago. Oppenheimer said that iPod sales are having a so-called "halo effect", and bringing new customers to the Macintosh.

What a bunch of bunk! This new CFO is not your old CFO as he seems to have no problems BS'ing and making conclusions without facts. Fact is, CPU sales are down from last qtr when they should've been up in a back to school qtr! Believe all the hype you want and do all the crystal ball TA mumbo jumbo you want but facts are, Apple is riding the iPod for now and that's about it. At current P/E it's way over priced. Great products, computers that is, but stock is floating on helium. We'll see how many CPU's get sold this qtr. If Apple keeps up this trend, they'll have no more CPU marketshare to speak of and will be relegated to low cost and low margin consumer hell.
