I would take a bumbler for Trez Secy
rather than a man who profited from the USDollar decline
AND EXPORTED THE ENTIRE MFG BASE WITH HIS BLESSING
back in the late 1990's Rubin extolled the virtue of exploiting cheaper Asian industrial output

WHERE IS YOUR MFG OUTPUT NOW, MR RUBIN ???

for God's sake, Scott
wake the heck up
agree to disagree ???
are you kidding me ???
are you dense ???
is this thread for childish attacks of anyone who issues criticism of a person when the target does not share his color tribe ???
sorry, I dont play by those compromised rules

the Strong Dollar Policy is the single biggest destructive policy EVER to hit the US Economy

no exception
absolutely none
IT WAS THE EQUIVALENT OF AN ECONOMIC NUCLEAR BOMB

maybe if we bring Rubin back, he can fix the wasteland that he rendered the entire US Economic landscape
two or three other factors contribute for sure to the lack of competitiveness for the USA
I doubt the guy could cite a single one
higher corporate taxes, higher health care costs rolled into payroll, higher environmental barriers which add to costs

Rubin also was the custodian over the US Treasury gold supply
he permitted it to be ransacked for mining firm and Manhattan billion banker profiteering
now the USDollar currency is backed by $7 trillion in debt and a piddling amount of gold

Rubin rolled the USDollar up a cliff with leveraged financial engineering
and Mother Nature is sending it over the cliff

the moron accused me of being a Bushy Basher
he is a political hack moron incapable of rational thought
dont back him up, or you look dumb as hell
if anyone paints his entire view of a person based on his COLORS, RED or BLUE...
he is an effing moron

I DONT COTTON TO BEING ATTACKED ON ASSUMED POLITICAL POSITIONS JUST BECAUSE I ISSUE CRITICISM OF THE TREASURY SECY WHO IS PRIMARILY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LACK OF COMPETITIVENESS OF THE US ECONOMY

I WILL VOTE FOR KERRY
today, Rubin was interviewed
he seemed genuinely concerned that the nation has committed itself deeply on a destructive path
in his heart of hearts, he is well aware of his role and responsibility regarding the USDollar and Gold collateral for it
of course, CNBC delivered soft balls to him
Sue Herrera even asked him about the Strong Dollar Policy
he said something careful but wise in response
something like...
"we need a stable and strong dollar, bla bla bla...
and now we find ourselves in a highly dangerous situation with growing federal deficits and growing trade deficits
with Social Security and Medicare commitments which we will have trouble meeting"
he knows this is his legacy with a 5-6 year lag
he is one very smart guy

we need a stable USDollar far far far more than an overpriced overly potent USDollar
in 2000 and 2001, the USA was decimated in the mfg sector
we promptly opened the global village door to China via Most Favored Nation grant, a Clinton initiative
which wrote the next chapter on US Economic destruction

KERRY IS LOOKING GREAT
THE LAST TWO DEBATES HAD HIM HOLD HIS GROUND
THE FEAR FACTOR OF A NUTBALL KERRY HAS GONE

LET ME BE CLEAR
BOTH DEMS AND REPUBS HAVE DESTROYED OUR ECONOMY
IF YOU THINK ONLY BUSHY CAUSES DAMAGE, YOU ARE EFFED IN THE HEAD
