"I've talked to people from health and human services (with a pretty good degree of support for what I'm doing for seniors) from 21 states"

Some drugs and vitamins I buy in the States because they are not available in Canada. Of course, I do not buy 222's (aspirin with codeine) in the States because I would need a prescription! It is rather silly, but I appreciate and respect that our respective agencies are validating various drugs through independent channels (I buy L-Carnitine in the States because we have not passed it here). Just as our Government has assured a far superior cable and telecommunications infrastructure than plagues America...so it may be reasonably suggested that our Government is at least as inquisitive as the US when it comes to the safety of drugs. There is probably as much lead contamination in calcium in the States as there is in Canada. In general, drugs are scrutinized very closely. Our health authorities are always testing drugs. But I have absolutely no fear to buy any drugs or vitamins in your country, either. I wish I could buy codeine in the States, and I wish I could buy Carnitine and other supplements here...but I trust our respective Government agencies to cover their asses.

They do not want to be SUED, I am sure...
