I'm so glad I live in the real world. It's so much easier for knuckle draggers like me to only have to keep track of one version of reality..... the real one. We all live on cultural islands. We cleave to people like ourselves and get validation from the homogeneity of our associates, continuously refining our beliefs subconsciously to further conform and further validate. Some of us realize that we live on one of many cultural islands and take that into account as we interpret the world. Others of us believe our cultural island is the true and absolute reality and that others "don't get it."
