I'm less worried about the impact of paying $7 per hour to people who perform back breaking labor than I am worried about the impact of making multi-millionaires out of people who badly damage organizations they are entrusted to run and then loot the battered remains. There is no incentive to be a good manager or board director, any more. You're worried about sending the right economic signals to people who empty wastebaskets for minimum wage? How about sending the right economic signals to people who control our economy? Especially the ones who screw up really badly? These guys have been acting more like Visigoths looting Rome and then burning it than custodians of their corporate trust.
